Tumor On The Prostate Gland
This photograph shows a sliced section of prostate gland. The upper center part of the photo shows tumor tissue which is yellow in appearance. The smaller bumps or nodules on this organ are what physicians term 'nodular parenchyma' - these are a small mass of tissue which help to carry out the function of the prostate gland. Nodular parenchyma should not be mistaken for cancerous tumor tissue.
