About Canadian Association of Optometrists - CAO
The Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO) is the professional association that represents Doctors of Optometry in Canada. It is also the national federation of ten provincial associations of optometrists and represents over 3000 members.
The objectives of the Canadian Association of Optometrists include:
- considering and acting on all which have a Dominion-wide effect upon Optometry
- promoting the usefulness of Optometry
- advancing optometric education
- promoting good fellowship and friendly relations between several provincial associations
