What Is Mega Red Krill Oil?

Mega Red® Krill Oil is derived from the Antarctic krill. Krill are small, shrimp like crustaceans (see also, what are krill?).

MegaRed® Krill Oil contains Superba™ Krill Oil produced by Aker Biomarine.

MegaRed Krill Oil contains antioxidants & omega-3 fatty acids rich in phospholipids.

Phospholipids are more easily absorbed by the body. An advantage of phospholipid rich sources of omega-3 such as krill oil is that less oil is required for a given dosage of omega-3 EPA and DHA.

The main benefits of omega-3 fatty acids are that they can help promote a healthy heart and joints, aid the immune system & improve cognition and mood (see also, 'benefits of krill oil').

The antioxidants in Mega Red Krill Oil also help neutralize free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules, formed through metabolism & can damage cells.
